New England Jobline
All Simmons GSLIS alumni are granted access to the New England Jobline, a service of Simmons GSLIS. The Jobline broadcasts available positions in the many library related areas. You can search the Jobline and other career resources at http://simmons.edu/gslis/for/current/careers/jobline/. On the Jobline, you can also post an announcement looking for student interns to assist you with any professional projects.

GSLIS Technology Lab and Workshops
Alumni are welcome to use the GSLIS Technology Lab (http://gslislab.simmons.edu), located in P-213. The Tech Lab has over 50 computers, including a large majority of dual-boot iMacs and some PCs, with scanners (regular, large-format, and slide), printers, and other input/output equipment, such as web cameras on all computers. The Lab is fully staffed for nearly 90 hours of operation each week by Technology Reference Assistants(TRAs) and GSLIS Technology Group staff. Staff is available for consultation, email/network assistance, and other support issues. Alumni can attend free technology workshops, which cover a variety of emerging technology topics. Continuing Education Discount
GSLIS Continuing Education offers more than 35 weekend or online workshops each semester for the convenience of practicing librarians and other information professionals. Simmons GSLIS Alumni attending CE workshops receive a discounted price. GSLIS Alumni Board
The GSLIS Alumni Board sponsors several events per year to connect alumni. Career panels and networking events are scheduled for the spring and fall, as well as the annual Alumni and Professional Development Day. GSLIS Alumni have the opportunity to audit graduate courses on a space-available non-credit basis for $400 or an undergraduate course for $25. You can learn more on our Forms & Policies page.
InfoLink is a monthly newsletter produced for the GSLIS community of students, faculty, staff and alums, released seven times a year. The Mentoring Program assists students by providing insights into competencies required in various professional areas, assessing current skill sets and suggesting possible projects and activities for enhancements, and setting up the beginnings of a professional network. GSLIS Admissions would love to have your help in recruiting future GSLIS students, as a GSLIS Alumni Ambassador. There are several ways you can get involved, including speaking on an alumni panel at monthly information sessions, being available to email with prospective students to answer any questions, and to be an alumni representative at to off-campus recruiting fairs.
