College Records

The Simmons College Archives' collections of Archival College Records are comprised of materials created by administrators, staff, faculty, students, and alumnae in their various official capacities; the records date from the late 19th Century through the present day and detail the establishment, development, and operations of Simmons College.

Records from major offices include: the Board of Trustees; Office of the President; Offices of the Provost, Deans, and Academic Departments; Faculty Council; and the Office of Student Activities. Also included are records of: student clubs and organizations; College and student publications; College events; and the Alumnae Association.

The records are organized by the administrative or academic department, and finding aids and collections guides are available for selected collections. In accordance to institutional policy, access to many of these records may be restricted for set periods of time; these restrictions vary from collection to collection. Interested researchers are urged to consult the College Archives staff (archives@simmons.edu) for clarification and guidance.
