President Helen Drinan

Helen G. Drinan is the eighth President of Simmons College. During the past six years, she has used her leadership experience to guide the institution to a position of competitive strength financially, academically, and operationally. Provost Katie Conboy

Katie Conboy is Provost and Senior Vice President of Simmons College. She brings more than 25 years of academic, administrative, and professional accomplishments to Simmons. Dr. Conboy started her career as Assistant Professor of English at Stonehill College and emerged early as a faculty leader, serving twice as Moderator of the Faculty Assembly. Shortly after her promotion to full Professor, Dr. Conboy was tapped as Acting Vice President and Dean at Stonehill, and she continued in the Chief Academic Officer role for 13 years, becoming Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2001 and Provost in 2008. Simmons Chief of Staff

Lynda M. Connolly was named Chief of Staff for Simmons College President Helen Drinan in 2014, and serves as Director of the Simmons College Pre-Law Program. Read More »

John F. Dolan
Vice President, Enrollment Management

John F. Dolan, Vice President for Enrollment Management, joined Simmons in 2014. An experienced higher education enrollment professional, Dolan previously served in various enrollment management and advancement positions at Le Moyne College, Drexel University, and LaSalle University, and the University of Denver. Cheryl Howard
Vice President, Marketing

Cheryl Howard, Vice President of Marketing, joined Simmons in 2007. For the previous 23 years, Howard served in a number of national and international marketing, brand, and customer relations positions at The Gillette Company and at Digital Equipment Corporation. In her last assignment at Gillette, she was vice president for personal care, a $450-million division of the company. She also has taught marketing, consumer behavior, and advertising courses at the graduate and undergraduate level at colleges in the Boston area. Stefan Krug
Deputy Provost

Stefan Krug, MSW, Ph.D., served as Dean of the Simmons College School of Social Work (SSW) from 2007 until 2014. He provided leadership for the BSW, MSW, and PhD degree programs and was responsible for the School of Social Work's strategic planning, faculty hiring, budget management, as well as oversight of curriculum development, administration of student services, admissions, field education, and special programs. Marianne Lord
Vice President, Advancement

Marianne E. Lord was appointed Vice President of Advancement, effective September 2011. A longtime leader in institutional advancement and philanthropy, Lord most recently served as associate dean of Institutional Advancement at Boston College Law School. At BC, she participated in transforming the development program, restructuring the BC Law Alumni Association, and creating BC's first planned giving program. Lord is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Planned Giving Group of New England, the Association of American Law Schools' Institutional Advancement Program Committee, the Friday Forum and Women in Development. Suzanne Murphy
Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Simmons Online

Suzie Murphy is Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Simmons Online, appointed in 2010 to ensure success of Strategy 2015 initiatives. Prior to coming to Simmons, she was special assistant to the president at Emmanuel College and was an adjunct faculty member in their Graduate and Professional Programs. Murphy's experience spans multiple industries from financial services, to management consulting, to higher education. Read More »

Sarah Neill
Vice President for Student Affairs and Associate Provost

Sarah Neill is the Vice President for Student Affairs and Associate Provost. Focused on improving the student experience at Simmons since arriving in 1998, she previously served as Associate Dean and then Dean for Student Life. Prior to her tenure at Simmons, Neill served as assistant dean at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and has additional student affairs experience working at Smith College and Lesley and Bentley Universities. Kathy Rogers
Vice President & General Counsel

Kathy Rogers is Vice President and General Counsel at Simmons. She joined Simmons in 2002 as General Counsel and was promoted to Vice President and Secretary to the Board of Trustees in 2007. Previously, she was a partner at the Boston law firm of Yurko & Perry, and served as a business litigator at Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar, and at Widett, Slater & Goldman. Before joining Simmons, Rogers advised and represented numerous Boston-area colleges and universities in litigation and risk management, particularly in cases involving disability and employment law issues. Philip N. Shapiro
Interim Vice President, Finance and Treasurer

Philip N. Shapiro was named Simmons College Interim Vice President, Finance and Treasurer October 2014. Mr. Shapiro previously served as Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Babson College; Managing Director in the Public Finance Department at Standard & Poor’s; CFO of the MWRA and the Boston Harbor Clean-up; Budget Director and Director of Investor Relations at Bank of New England Corporation; Executive Director of the MBTA Advisory Board; and Special Assistant to Governor James B. Regina Sherwood
Vice President, Talent and Human Capital Strategy

Regina Sherwood was appointed Vice President of Talent and Human Capital Strategy in April 2012. She has more than 15 years of experience working with organizations to develop effective compensation and human resource programs. Prior to joining Simmons, Sherwood was a Principal Consultant at Mercer, a multinational human capital consulting firm. Her work at Mercer included designing and enhancing reward and talent programs across multiple industries and numerous higher education organizations, including Simmons. Read More »
