Overview

A limited number of merit awards are offered by SNHS. Direct Entry nursing and DPT applicants who will be enrolled full-time are automatically considered for merit scholarships at the time of application review. No separate application is required for these competitive awards. Selected students will be informed of such awards in their letters of admission.

Two special scholarships are available for individuals accepted to the Direct Entry (DE) Nursing program for City Year alumni or staff. There is no special or separate application for this scholarship but applicants must indicate their participation in City Year in the personal statement or resume. City Year verification should also be sent to SNHS by the  City Year Alumni and Career Services Manager. City Year corps alumna/us must have been in service for at least one year. City Year staff must have been employed at least two years. Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA in both the science prerequisites courses and in the accumulative GPA.

The award is 25% of tuition for the first three semesters of the DE program. Full time enrollment in the DE program is required.. Application fee waivers are also provided. Eligible applicants must call the School of Nursing and Health Sciences to obtain the application fee waiver code to include in the electronic application.

Assistantships for accepted nursing, nutrition and physical therapy students are determined after a student has been enrolled .

Scholarships and assistantships alone will not cover the entire cost of tuition or other educational expenses.

SNHS merit scholarships and assistantships are not available for the Certificate in Sports Nutrition (CSN),DNP,any CAGS or other certificate programs.

Financial Aid low-interest loans are available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Please also see our list of other financial resources.
