Non-Degree Enrollment

Non-Degree Enrollment

It is possible to enroll in some SNHS courses before applying for admission. Certain courses require prerequisites and written approval from the respective Department Chairperson. Contact the appropriate department (see below)to determine which courses require approval. Make certain that the relevant Department Chair provides us with written approval in advance of registration.

Individuals may register for up to two graduate SNHS courses as a non-degree student before being required to formally apply for admission.  The exception is for the DNP program which limits a student to taking one course as non-degree. Pending department approval, a student may take one non-degree course in each of two semesters or two non-degree courses in one semester.

Please visit www.simmons.edu/courses to determine which SNHS, Nursing and Nutrition courses are offered each semester. Once you determine which SNHS course(s) you are interested in taking, you must obtain written permission from the instructor before an application can be processed. The instructor's name is included in the course listing. Contact the instructor via email (firstname.lastname@simmons.edu) requesting permission to take the SNHS course. Please forward the approval to snhs@simmons.edu. Make certain that you include your full name and contact information.
