The primary mission of the Administrative Solutions team is the support of the institutional database, Colleague, by Datatel, Inc. This database supplies mission critical data to many of Simmons College administrative offices, including Admissions, the Registrar, Human Resources, and Finance. The data is used by over 300 users to facilitate student records processes from prospect tracking through graduation, accounts receivable and payable, and faculty and staff employment data.
The Administrative Solutions staff is responsible for developing, implementing, and troubleshooting Colleague and several supporting applications, creating and maintaining interfaces to move data between the applications, and maintaining the integrity of the data contained in them.
