Assistant Basketball Coach
Shannon Clark is entering his first year as Assistant Basketball Coach at Simmons College. His official duties will include guard development, game preparation, scouting, assisting with recruiting and game stats.
Clark comes to Simmons after a year as Head Women's Basketball Coach at Wheelock College during the 2007-08 season. While at the helm of the Wheelock program, Clark guided the Wildcats to the most victories in recent team history.
Prior to his role at Wheelock, Clark served as the Varsity Assistant Coach at Boston College High School from 2004-06. While at B.C. High, the Eagles amassed a 59-10 record, including an undefeated 2006 campaign that captured the Massachusetts Division 1 State title. In addition, the team won three consecutive Catholic Conference crowns, and finished the season ranked in the top-ten in the state each year.
Clark began his coaching career at South Boston High School, when he served as the Varsity Assistant Coach from 2003-04. During that time, he served as the Director and Coach of the Mass Wildcats Girls AAU Basketball Club from 2001-07.
Clark is a Grinnell College alum.
