Kate Vlahakis is entering her third season as an Assistant Basketball Coach at Simmons College. She assists with all aspects of the program, including game and practice planning, recruiting and fundraising.
Vlahakis played collegially at St. Lawrence University. She was third on her team in scoring as a freshman and started for the Saints in the NCAA Tournament in 2003. She has coached at St. Lawrence's Basketball Camp, as well as middle school and AAU programs in her native New Hampshire, where she was the first 1,000-point scorer at Holderness School.
A native of Lebanon, NH, Vlahakis graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from St. Lawrence University. Vlahakis currently works full-time as a personal trainer at Fitness Together in the Back Bay. She resides in the Fenway.
