Career Planning & Resources
Our services include individual career coaching, career workshops and programs, career fairs and employer recruiting events, and more.
Learning how to manage your career is an often neglected but very important companion to your college education. Statistics show that, on average, over your work life you may change jobs over ten times and change careers three to five times.
When it comes to recruiting and employers there are numerous options for Simmons alumnae/i, many of which are online and can be accessed remotely.
Whether you are facing unemployment, experiencing work dissatisfaction, or ready to make a change, the CEC is here to support and guide you in your next career move.
Career Resources includes access to the extensive print collection and online career collections in Beatley Library; the CEC site's resources and tools, including the CEC job banks, CareerLink and CA$H; as well as additional selected off-site resources beyond Simmons.
As a graduate of Simmons you also have a highly valuable built-in network: over 40,000 fellow Simmons alums, one of your richest resources for career information and support and potential employment opportunities.
CEC Services for Alums
Each year, hundreds of alumnae/i use the Career Education Center. If you are in the early stages of your career and evaluating career choices, or in mid- to later-career and considering a change, the CEC is a great resource for you. Let us help you succeed!
Career Toolkit for Alums
The purpose of the Career Toolkit is to assist you in your career planning. Whether you are unsure of your career direction or need help with your job search or with applying to graduate school, you will find the resources you need to begin your preparation.
