Jobs & Internships
Simmons College and the CEC are dedicated to providing students with information about opportunities to gain work experience both on- and off-campus and provide online job boards designed to list opportunities offered specifically to Simmons students.
CareerLink is the Simmons CEC online job posting service for internships, full-time jobs, and other off-campus work opportunities. By completing her personal profile your student will be able to search for hundreds of active openings posted to CareerLink for Simmons students. A CareerLink login also provides access to other databases, such as Internships.com and Career Rookie. Your student will also be able to view upcoming career event information and RSVP, post her resume and cover letters, and much more. A Job Agent tool is available for students to set up automated e-mails that will send daily listings of recently posted jobs in specified areas of interest. To learn more, visit the undergraduate CareerLink page.
CA$H (Convenient Access to Student Hires)
CA$H is the Simmons online resource for on-campus student employment, including general campus employment and both on- and off-campus work-study positions. Please note that positions listed as "work-study" on CA$H are available only to students with work-study awards granted through Student Financial Services. To learn more, visit the undergraduate CA$H page.
Other Job Listing Resources
Additional job listing sites are readily available to Simmons students through the Beatley Library Career Resources pages. The Beatley Career Resources section includes a specific Job Hunting Online career guide which includes a list of job search aggregators, such as Indeed.com and SimplyHired.com, which, rather than posting jobs directly from employers search and compile lists of results from different job banks and corporate sites, making them a convenient one-stop shop for the job seeker.
In addition to the above, there is a wealth of job listings available online at a range of websites. Some of these sites are aimed at both the general population, such as Monster.com and Craig's List, and some are for specific populations, such as Career Rookie for entry-level jobs, Boston.com/Monster for Boston-area jobs, and industry-specific sites such as Nurse Job Shop for nurses.
Students seeking other specific listings can always work with a career coach in the CEC to learn more.
