Contemporary Considerations

Provides a rare opportunity to examine the entire body of a writers work. Develops critical skills through study of the completed works of three important writers of childrens literature. Requires corollary readings of literary criticism pertaining to each author. A book-by-book exploration of the writers evolution, style, themes, ideology, and ultimately achievement with an eye to the connections between books and to the authors work as a whole.
