BS degree in library or information sciences.
Love using the web and figuring out ways to use it more effectively.
Comfortable with creating new approaches to categorizing data, drawing on your knowledge of existing formal frameworks, but not relying solely upon them.
Willing to play a "generalist" role on miscellaneous projects and problems outside of library/information domain.
Eager to work in an unstructured, fast moving startup environment, where creativity and personal initiative are key to success.
Excellent people skills and effective in a team environment as well as working independently.

DUTIES: Company Overview; We are a stealth mode, venture backed startup building a consumer-oriented information service. We are located in the Boston area. Our current team consists of industry vets and rock stars from the search, database, and online worlds. We've done this before but we don't have all the answers - that's why we need you!
Job Description: We are looking for someone to help us organize the biggest library in the world: the Web. We are developing a technology to search the World Wide Web for a particular topic of information. This entry-level position will be responsible for categorizing web information in a framework that will be both comprehensive and easy for users to understand and explore.
