The VOICES team has built over 800 digital victim profiles through a series of one-on-one meetings with family members and this content is on www.911livingmemorial.org. The archive also includes over 500 memorials that have been built to commemorate 9/11. The VOICES Digital Archivist Project Manager will supervise the entire process of digitizing a significant amount of text, photo, audio and video content. This process will include the most effective means of capturing, cataloging, tagging and uploading this historic content into an easily searchable database and Website. VOICES is also building a graduate level class in digital archiving at Southern Connecticut State University (Southern) and the VOICES Digital Archivist Project Manager will interface on the curriculum build phase of this project, including enhancements to the educational curriculum over time. Finally the position will lead the transition of digital content to the National September 11 Memorial and Museum for their use.
