Part-time Archives & Special Collections Reference Assistant, Brandeis University, Waltham MA

Library & Technology Services (LTS) at Brandeis University is looking for a part-time (20 hours per week) Reference Assistant in the Robert D. Farber University Archives and Special Collections Department. This person will assist with reference (in-person, phone, and email) and monitor secure reading room.
Examples of Key Responsibilities:
Monitor reading room, including welcoming and assisting researchers in the use of collections and ensuring adherence to all security rules.
Research and respond to reference requests by phone, email, and in person; assist researchers with the use of online catalogs, finding aid databases, collection guides, and digital collections; fulfill photocopy, scanning, and other digitization requests for patrons; retrieve and reshelve materials.
Currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited MLS program with a concentration in archives management/administration.
Currently enrolled in or completed course work in reference.
Familiarity with archival access standards.
Experience working with the public. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Proficiency with standard desktop computer applications. Knowledge of digital file formats and their uses and Photoshop skill a plus.
