 Anastasia S. Weigle

Anastasia received her BA in Natural Science Illustration with a minor in Museum Studies from SUNY Empire State College in Rochester, New York and her MSLIS in Archives Management from Simmons College. She has a diverse background in library and archival management. Most recently Anastasia was the Director of the Teti Library and Special Collections at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester. She is currently the Project Head Archivist at the Maine Maritime Museum working on the Merchant Mariners Muster Project funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation through the Council on Library and Information Resources.

She is also part-time adjunct faculty at the University of Maine in Augusta teaching Introduction to Archives Management, Basic Web Design, and Information Literacy in the BSLIS program.  

Her research interests include investigating the practical application of visual communication in a virtual (3D) environment to teach archives and preservation, Paper and Book Conservation, Book Arts as primary resources and the study of information behavior in visual archival literacy.
