Preparing for Registration & Orientation Day
Course offerings for the Spring 2014 semester will be posted to the College's online registration system, AARC (Academic & Administrative Resource Center) at on Tuesday, October 15th.
(http://connection.simmons.edu/ will take you to the Simmons Connection homepage. Log in by using your Simmons username and password. At the upper left-hand corner, click on "AARC"; then click on "Student.")
When searching for courses in AARC you will find the GSLIS West courses by choosing Mount Holyoke Campus-GSLIS as a location. All GSLIS West courses have the section number -20 following the course number.
Sometime during the 3rd week of October 2013, new GSLIS West students will receive an email outlining the CORE curriculum and will include information on the "sequencing" of course registration, since much of our curriculum is now prescribed in the order in which classes should be taken. This is especially true for students in the Archives concentration program and the School Library Teacher Program.
More information on this will be presented to students at Orientation Day.
In addition to your selected courses for the SPRING 2014 semester, ALL STUDENTS will need to register for LIS 400: Technology Orientation Requirement. (See below for details.)
The two GSLIS West advisors listed below are available now to assist you with course selection and to answer questions you might have about online registration.
Terry Plum, Assistant Dean
Johanna Radding, GSLIS West Program Manager
On Orientation Day, you will learn which of these staff has been assigned to be your advisor.
LIS 400 — Technology Orientation Requirement (TOR)
