Technology and the TOR
What is the TOR?
The Technology Orientation Requirement (TOR) is a series of readings, short tutorials and hands-on activities designed to acquaint you with the technology and resources you will use in the GSLIS program. All new students are required to complete it as they begin their first semester.
Where can I find the deadlines?
The deadline usually occurs about 5 weeks into the semester. You can find the exact deadline for your semester and other information on the TOR website at http://gslis.simmons.edu/tor.
How can I get help and computer support for completing my TOR?
For help with TOR, contact the GSLIS Tech Lab at 617-521-2802 or email email@example.com. If you are on the Simmons campus in Boston, you can stop by the Tech Lab in P-213. The GSLIS Tech Lab also offers workshops to assist students in the completion of the TOR on Advising Day and at the beginning of the semester. To register for workshops, visit http://gslistechlab.eventbrite.com. For more information about the Tech Lab services visit the Tech Lab website.
