Depending on the area of specialization, program requirements for the generalist track may be completed entirely on the GSLIS West Campus, however, many students take a course or two in Boston. Not all courses for the Archives concentration or SLTP are offered at the GSLIS West campus. These courses are either completed online or at the Boston campus.
Our increasing number of online courses allow for both flexibility in schedules for busy students as well as increase the number of electives available at GSLIS West.
Academic support is available for GSLIS West students with a variety of academic needs.
The Center for Academic Achievement provides academic support on the Boston campus and online. The CAA can:
- advise GSLIS West students with study skills and time management
- connect students with the Writing Center where students can submit papers for review online
- offer help to students learning English as a Second Language
- accommodate students with disabilities
GSLIS West students looking for a subject tutor for a specific course should contact Terry Plum (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Johanna Radding (email@example.com) for accommodation. Often other students who have taken the course are available for tutoring.
Course schedules for both GSLIS West and Boston courses can be found here.
For a list of courses typically offered on the GSLIS West campus please see the GSLIS West blog. This list is for planning purposes only, courses listed may or may not be offered on the GSLIS West campus. When considering courses students are encouraged to consider all available courses not just those offered at GSLIS West.
