GSLIS Alumni giving has grown over the last several years — last year, for the first time, GSLIS alums
gave over $1 million! This is certainly a milestone to celebrate, and GSLIS could not have reached this mark
without you and your continued support. This year, many of you have contributed to the Simmons Fund for
GSLIS, which is one of the School's unrestricted funds; other have contributed to one of the named
scholarship funds, such as the Allen Smith Scholarship for GSLIS, which is in honor of Professor Allen Smith,
someone who exemplified the true spirit of GSLIS. Thank you all for your support and please continue to give
back to your graduate alma mater. Now more than ever, GSLIS needs you and every dollar makes a
difference.
Additionally the GSLIS Alumni Board as the leaders of your alumni community need your help. This year the
Board has set a goal to double the number of donors from last year to this year, totaling 1,500 donors by
June 30, 2009. The members hope that you will join them in making a donation to GSLIS this year of any size
to any fund.

Donations are not the only way to give back to Simmons. We welcome your participation in GSLIS Alumni Board
