Stephanie Gerding is a nationally known library consultant and author. She presents workshops around the country and online on grants, training, and technology topics. She has taught web-based distance education courses on grants, information literacy, technology and training for NorthCentral University, WebJunction, TechSoup for Libraries, State Libraries, and the University of North Texas.

Stephanie has been on all sides of the grant process. She has written grants, reviewed grants, and coordinated awarded grant projects at nonprofit, foundation, and government organizations, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and New Mexico and Arizona State Libraries.

Stephanie's first co-authored book, Grants for Libraries (http://home.earthlink.net/%7Elibrarygrants/index.html), was published by Neal-Schuman and received a starred review in Library Journal. Her second book, The Accidental Technology Trainer (http://www.infotoday.com/books/books/TheAccidentalTechnologyTrainer.shtml), was published by Information Today. She is currently finalizing Winning Library Grants, which will include multi-media components. Stephanie co-authors the Library Grants Blog (http://librarygrants.blogspot.com/), and writes articles on grant work. She writes and trains for TechSoup for Libraries (http://techsoupforlibraries.org/); providing technology education to libraries and helping them save money through software donations. Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a concentration in technical writing, and a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Corporate Information from the University of Tennessee.
