Zainab SalbiA world renowned humanitarian activist and social entrepreneur, Zainab Salbi is the co-founder and former CEO of Women for Women International, a grassroots development organization helping women in war-torn regions rebuild their lives and communities. Her bestselling memoir, Between Two Worlds: Escape from Tyranny-Growing Up in the Shadow of Saddam, recounts her own harrowing tale of how decent people can become complicit in their own oppression. After two decades heading up WfWI and inspired by the events of the Arab Spring, Saibi plans to focus her considerable energies on a series of initiatives meant to open up the power structures in politics, business, and the media to women in the Middle East.
