Get help from a Simmons Reference Librarian now! Visit, chat, email or call us to get help with your research. You can reach us whenever and however it's most convenient for you.

  • Chat — Chat is offline. Contact us via email using the link below.
  • Text Message — Send a text message to us at 617.528.9521. We will respond to your text as soon as possible during the reference desk's regular hours of operation. Standard text messaging rates apply. Appropriate text messages include short answer and directional questions. If you require detailed assistance. such as project planning or in-depth research, please contact us via another method listed on this page so we can provide the best possible service.
  • Email — Send your reference questions to reference@simmons.edu and we will get back to you as soon as we can (generally within one day).
  • Phone — Call us at 617.521.2784 to speak with a librarian when the desk is open or leave us a message any time.
  • In Person — Visit the reference desk, located in the Library Information Commons, for research assistance. You can view our current hours here and directions to campus here.
  • Research Appointment — Request a research appointment for in-depth help with research and library resources.

  • Please note, after 7:00pm on weekdays and 5:00pm on Saturdays, a current Simmons ID is required for entry to Lefavour Hall. A current Simmons ID is required to access the building at any time on Sundays.
