The President's Fund for Faculty Excellence will serve to enable research and scholarship that has the potential to sustain the highest and most rewarding level of inquiry. The overall goals of this program are to stimulate innovative and interdisciplinary scholarship.
Application Materials
The revised guidelines and application forms for the President's Fund for Faculty Excellence may be found below. Two applicant eligibility categories have been created each with its own application form.
President's Fund for Faculty Excellence: Junior Faculty
Priority in allocating funds from this pool will be given to applications from faculty members who have tenure track positions. However, contract faculty who currently hold full-time appointments and who have held such for at least 2 but no more than 8 prior years are also eligible to apply and receive awards.
Junior Faculty Application Dean's Signature Form
President's Fund for Faculty Excellence: Senior Faculty
Priority in allocating funds from this pool will be given to applications from faculty members who have tenure appointments. However, contract faculty who currently hold full-time appointments and who have held such for at least 9 years are also eligible to apply and receive awards.
Senior Faculty Application Dean's Signature Form
Significant changes include:
1. The grant period is one year - July 1 - June 30.
2. Course releases are eligible expenses.
3. Once you have received a grant, you are restricted from reapplying to the fund until three (3) years from the end of the grant.
Reminder:
1. Project funds may not be used while one is on sabbatical or, in the case of contract faculty, while on professional development release.
Reporting Requirements - Current Grants
Annual Progress Reports are required until completion of the project. Upon completion, a final project report, with documentation related to the project's 'final product', must be submitted to the Office of Sponsored Programs.
