Andrew Creamer

Creamer is a co-instructor for Simmons Scientific Data Management course. He coordinates research data management education projects for the Lamar Soutter Library of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He works on a variety of the library's science, eScience and scientific data management education and outreach initiatives. Creamer is also involved with many of the library's international outreach projects, including the rehabilitation of the University of Liberia's medical college library. Creamer joined the library staff in 2009 as a librarian intern on the eScience Portal project. A native of Ohio, he holds a degree in biology and is a graduate of Virginia Tech's School of Education and Simmons College SLIS. Prior to joining the medical school library, Creamer taught for several years in public schools in Virginia and Massachusetts, and he was a program instructor for Harvard University's Division of Continuing Education and Tufts University Conference Bureau.
