Master's student Brandie Burrows participated in Librarians Without Borders service trip to Guatemala, where the team set up a school library. www.librarianswithoutborders.org.

The GSLIS Technology team would like to welcome some additional staff. Nicole Koch is the new Dean's Fellow for Technology Support, Lilli Germain is the new GSLIS Technology Workshop Coordinator, and Ryan McDonough is our new Multimedia Specialist.
PhD/MLIP student Alexia Hudson-Ward is the recipient of the 2013 Young Alumni Award from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Information Science (iSchool). The awards ceremony is in October.
