LIS Student Supports Libraries in Africa

Current GSLIS student Maggie Davidov is heading to the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy (OWLA) for two weeks this August on a school library exchange. Through a grant from the Dana Hall School in Wellesley to focus on Global initiatives, Maggie is heading to OWLA to collaborate with two librarians on information and digital literacy curricula and video conferencing international book clubs. Maggie hopes to learn a great deal from her international colleagues, create the framework for innovative programs, and pet baby lions. Check out her blog to follow her journey in South Africa:  http://www.alibrarianinafrica.blogspot.com.
