Kate Bowers is the collections services archivist in the Harvard University Archives, where she is responsible for information systems and metadata creation. Bowers has more than 20 years of library and archives metadata and supervisory experience. She is the editor and compiler of the Society of American Archivsts' 2009 publication Thesaurus for Use in College and University Archives. Her interests lie in making knowledge, scholarship, and cultural resources accessible by organizing and linking information and enhancing delivery systems. She is active both in the Society of American Archivists and New England Archivists. Bowers has an AB from Mount Holyoke College and a master's in Library and Information Science from Simmons College.
