SLIS West Library & Information Science (MS)
"The student body is really fun and collaborative; it's a total bonus to get to know such smart, dynamic people while working toward a degree. I'm very happy with the community feeling and intimate class sizes of SLIS West."
Lexi Walters Wright '11LS
Simmons SLIS has a satellite campus (Simmons SLIS West) based at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA.
SLIS West is a part-time program with classes offered on Saturday mornings and afternoons, as well as one Thursday evening course each semester. We offer an increasing number of online courses which allows students more flexibility in scheduling, and a richer selection of electives.
SLIS West students enjoy the best of both worlds; access to all Simmons College student resources including library and technology as well as access and borrowing privileges at the Mount Holyoke College Library.
SLIS West is well known for its community oriented campus and small face to face classes taught by SLIS Faculty and distinguished professional librarians from around Western Massachusetts.
Although SLIS West does not have a summer admission, classes are offered during the summer in both short-course and full-term formats.
