Health Care Administration
Simmons' Graduate Program in Health Administration is dedicated to producing the health industry's future leaders. Health care organizations are complex and hard to manage. Effective managers need to have superb leadership skills, be able to manage in a rapidly changing technological environment, and in an environment increasingly dominated by government policy.
In partnership with the National Center for Healthcare Leadership, Simmons HCA is integrating evidence-based, leadership competencies across the curriculum. The Program also recently completed a comprehensive curriculum revision that features state-of-the-art course content, teaching methods and student assessment techniques. Graduates will not only have the knowledge and skills they need for a successful career, but the leadership competencies necessary for "making a difference" in this dynamic industry.
The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) and is a full member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).
