Simmons College School of Social Work

Gina Gambardella has worked for the Department of Mental Health for the past twelve years. She has been a clinical social worker on an inpatient setting providing forensic evaluations for adults suffering from mental illness. She supervises other social work staff and has co-directed a program proving support to staff members who are victims of assault.

Ms. Gambardella has worked on a Special Care inpatient unit serving latency aged children with mental illness and emotional disturbance. She primarily worked with the children and their families. She has worked at Cambridge Hospital as an inpatient social worker and outpatient therapist at the Program for Psychotherapy. She also has experience in the EAP setting and has provided psychiatric assessments in the emergency room at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

Ms. Gambardella has been supervising students from all the area schools of social work since 1994. She received her MSW at Boston College in 1992.
