Mary Urban-Keary is a graduate of Boston University School of Social Work. She was the Program Director of the BSW program at Boston University and was the graduate school's Director of Professional Education and its Director of Student Services. She has taught Social Welfare Policy, Social Work Practice, Social Work Ethics, Brief Treatment and Crisis Intervention with Urban Dwellers at Wheelock College as well as BU's undergraduate and graduate programs. Ms. Urban-Keary maintains a private practice where she sees adolescents, couples, and seniors. She has been trained as a mediator by the Harvard Law School Mediation Project and as a divorce mediator by Divorce Mediation Training Associates. From 2005-2007, she was president of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. She is a member of the New England Society for the Treatment of Trauma and Dissociation.
