Teresa Toto-Moriarty, M.S.W., Ph.D., LICSW
Teresa Toto-Moriarty received her MSW and Ph.D. from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University. She currently works in private practice in Beverly, MA with an emphasis on eating disorders and addictions treatment using various treatment models such as psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, MI, somatic, EMDR, and spiritual approaches. Dr. Toto-Moriarty has published on eating disorders in the Clinical Social Work Journal, and in Qualitative Social Work, Research and Practice. Prior to private practice, she worked in multiple social work roles at CAB Health and Recovery, now Lahey Behavioral Health. These roles involved being a supervisor, directing the adolescent intensive outpatient program, working as an outpatient clinician, and facilitating a number of recovery groups. Dr. Toto-Moriarty has worked in a variety of clinical settings in New York City, including a hospital medical unit, a therapeutic school for adolescents, community mental health agencies, and the eating disorders treatment facility, The Renfrew Center. She is passionate about the interface between research and clinical practice, so that research can inform clinical work and clinical work can inform the research agenda and process.
