Mary LeCloux, M.S.W., LICSW
Mary LeCloux is a doctoral candidate in the Simmons SSW and works part-time for the McLean Hospital crisis team performing psychiatric assessments at a local emergency room. She earned her M.S.W. from Smith College in 2000 and has 12 years of clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with children, adolescents, and adults. Prior to returning to school for her Ph.D., Mrs. LeCloux worked as a case manager for the McLean Hospital Behavioral Health Partial Program and had a private practice working with adults, families, and adolescents. She has also worked in a variety of community mental health settings doing school, clinic, and home-based therapy and as a clinician at the Italian Home for Children. Her current research interests include help-seeking behavior among adolescents engaging in self-injury, access and barriers to mental health treatment.
