Position description:

Provide outpatient clinical assessment, and individual and family therapy in Boston public schools to children, adolescents and their families who have trauma, mental health, behavioral, psychosocial, or substance abuse concerns.

CWC clinicians work 35-40 hours/week (depending on agency of-hire), year-round, carrying acaseload of about 25 children/families.

Each CWC clinician will be assigned to one Boston Public School in Dorchester, Roxbury, Roslindale,Mattapan, or East Boston.

Clinician holds primary responsibility for forging a strong, supportive, collaborative workingrelationship with this school.

Most services will be provided in this school, during the day, but schedules during the week may beflexible to allow for home-visits after school.

Over the summer, caseloads are reduced somewhat to allow increased time for home visits andinformal relationship building with children, and with school groups and summer programs.

Clinicians will be trained in Trauma Systems Therapy, and will receive specialized weeklyconsultation in their work with children, families, and schools. Clinicians will also receive evidence-based training and supervision in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders every other week. Trainingand consultation will occur in a group roundtable format with other CWC clinicians from partneringagencies, and with staff from Boston Public Schools.

Requirements/Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent
• Clinical experience with children, adolescents and families in an outpatient setting
• Proficiency with DSM-IV-TR Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
• Experience working with low-income, minority, and immigrant children and families

Preferred, but not required:
• Experience providing school-based clinical services strongly preferred
• Independent Licensure in Massachusetts with LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (Required for East Boston placement)
• Knowledge about impact of trauma on urban youth and families

Position description: Bilingual (Spanish) interventionist to provide motivational interviewing as part of a randomized clinical trial funded by the National Institutes of Health. Up to 6 hours/week, flexible. The study is a collaboration between Northeastern University, Bouvé College of Health Sciences and the South End Community Health Center, in Boston, MA (the study site). All applicants need to complete an interview with the Principal Investigator. The successful candidate will participate in a two-day training in Motivational Interviewing provided by a certified MI trainer and training in study protocol. After that, you will be receiving ongoing supervision from a MI trainer as part of your participation as an interventionist in the clinical trial. You will be paid per hour ($25.00) for your time spent providing the motivational interview. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in learning Motivational Interviewing.

Resident Services Coordinator

Resident Service Coordinator needed for 2 elderly/disabled, residential apartment communities in Boston.Job SummaryThe Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for providing information, education and referral resources to resident who need assistance or have questions about a wide variety of issues and concerns. Services, information and education provided range in topic from insurance, health and mental health services to financial and government aid programs. In addition, an RSC assists their assigned property managers with a range of resident questions and issues including conflict resolution and reasonable accommodations. A RSC may also coordinate monthly events and property announcements and newsletter. A Resident Services Coordinator must follows rules, procedures and policies that are established by regulatory agencies and Federal Management.

Essential Duties of Job:
1. The majority of RSC duties involve spending time with residents on a one-on-one basis related to a variety of topics that are specific to an individual resident's needs. Residents often have limited outside resources to help them understand forms, letter, and outside services. RSC often bridge this gap in service needs.
2. Provide general case management which includes intake, education (services available and application procedures) and referrals of residents to service providers in the general community. These services may include, but are not limited to, home health aides, financial assistance, counseling (mental health and substance abuse), job search/training, general education and food assistance.
3. Advocate, organize, problem-solve and obtain results for residents.
4. Establish relationships with agencies and service providers in the community who will provide direct services to residents. 
5. Develop an inventory of local health, social service and community resources for use by residents, resident's families and caregivers. Assist residents in using these resources.
6. Work with property managers to assist residents in crisis situations or difficult situations. In addition, serve as a liaison between residents and property management staff.
7. Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with code of ethics.
8. Produce clearly write files, reports, emails and newsletter as assigned.
9. Must be able to work occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate resident programs and other needs. 
10. Intermittent light to moderate lifting and carrying may be required. 

Supervision:
A Resident Services Coordinator must be able to complete the duties of the position with minimal direct supervision. Individuals in this position must be extremely well organized. Most day-to-day coordination and supervision are with the Property Manager for assigned property(s). In addition, a RSC has a dotted-line reporting relationship to either the Director of Resident Services or the Sr. Resident Services Coordinator. 

Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree is necessary for this position preferably in social services. A minimum of two years experience in social service delivery with elderly and/or family populations is important. An advanced degree in a related field is a plus. Excellent customer service skills are required and computer software knowledge in Microsoft products is necessary. Exceptional organization skills are critical.

Our project:
Our study explores factors influencing the mental health of immigrant women from South Asia. The interviews focus on experiences of immigration and issues regarding access to culturally appropriate mental health services for this population. 

Requirements:
-Fluency required in one or more of the following languages: Urdu / Punjabi / Hindi.
-Computer literate-Prior transcription/translation preferred
-Willingness to commit to 10 hours minimum per week

We may ask you to perform a test or provide examples of your work / references.

Transcription: Audio recordings of interviews require transcription into English (simultaneous translation, interview will take place in Urdu, Punjabi or Hindi. It is not necessary to be know all of these languages).

-Prior transcription/translation preferred
-Willingness to commit to 10 hours minimum per week
