Open to MBA students. Produce the Simmons School of Management's magazine. Learn step-by-step how a magazine works as a complete business enterprise. Learn the basics of editorial management, staffing, circulation, production, advertising, marketing, financial management, page layout, and design. Review trade and niche publications, and examine trends and core issues facing publications, as well as B2B, trade, consumer, and custom publishing entities. Guest speakers from major magazine publishing companies provide a behind-the-scenes take on the internal workings of the magazine business.
