4 sem. hrs. Prereq.: NURS 225, NURS 226. Provides an opportunity to integrate knowledge and principles from general education, nursing education, and nursing practice to issues of relevance to the nursing profession. Facilitates professional role transition through examination of nursing's history, educational programs, roles, legal issues, ethical concerns, health policy, concepts in research, and the health care delivery system. Stresses independent learning, self-direction, and understanding of group interaction in the teaching-learning process through problembased learning.
