Intro to Africana Studies

4 sem. hrs. Considers the histories and cultures of people and societies of the African diaspora with particular emphasis on the United States and the Caribbean. Students will gain an understanding of the experiences of black people around the world and develop the critical thinking skills to interpret those experiences across interdisciplinary perspectives.
