Language of Music
4 sem. hrs. Introduces the language of music in Western and non- Western traditions. Discusses musical notation and terminology, tonal melodic singing and hearing, meter, rhythmic practice, and beginning concepts of harmony. Provides an excellent background for other music courses. Slowik.
