Victorian Lit and Culture

4 sem. hrs. Prereq.: ENGL 199 or ENGL 210, and junior standing. Surveys British poets, prose writers, and novelists from the 1840s to the turn of the century. Writers studied may include Tennyson, Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Matthew Arnold, Florence Nightingale, Queen Victoria, Darwin, Ruskin, and John Stuart Mill.
