Modern Irish Literature
Prereq.: ENGL 210. Considers major works in verse, fiction, and drama by William Butler Yeats, James Joyce, John Millington Synge, Sean OCasey, and some of the newer voices in Irish writing, such as Seamus Heaney and others whose work has been influenced by the recent sectarian violence in Northern Ireland.
