The Atlantic World 1500-1800
4 sem. hrs. Examines interactions between the Americas, Africa, and Europe in the early modern era. Special consideration of the Atlantic slave trade, the development of transatlantic colonial empires - especially the Spanish, British, French and Dutch empires - and interactions between American Indians and white colonizers. Covers social, economic, and political change.
