Women and Gender in Europe

4 sem. hrs. Surveys the construction of gender roles for women and for men from the eighteenthcentury Enlightenment through the 1960s. Examines the importance of gender in political,economic, and legal developments as well as its power to shape the self-perception of people who lived in the past.
