Translation & Linguistics
Prereq.:FREN 202 or consent of the instructor. Aims at developing careful reading of texts and accurate writing through translation exercises on major works of modern autobiographical fiction (Ernaux, Beauvoir, Saint-Exupery) and the media. Additionally, the course introduces notions of linguistics, phonetics, and contextual analysis of the functions of language.
