The following minors are offered by the Department of Modern Languages & Literatures

Minor in French

The minor in French consists of five courses above the 202 level to be distributed as follows:

  • FREN 245
  • One civilization course
  • One literature course
  • Two electives

Minor in Spanish

The minor in Spanish consists of five courses above the 210 level to be distributed as follows:

  • SPAN 245
  • One civilization course
  • One literature course
  • Two electives

Study Abroad

Students are encouraged to study abroad.  Before transferring courses they have taken abroad for their minor, they should get the approval of their academic advisor and the Modern Languages department.  No more than eight semester hours of coursework done abroad will be counted towards the minor.
