Dr Brown's research interests are in the area of maternal and child health, cardiovascular disease and women, nutrient analysis database development, and celiac disease. She completed her dietetic internship at Simmons College. Dr Brown spent several years as senior nutritionist in a local WIC program, and has also worked as a research dietitian at Natick Labs in the Combat Feeding Division, as well as a serving as a consultant dietitian in Long Term Care. In addition to teaching introductory and community nutrition, Dr Brown is also the Simmons College dietetic internship coordinator and also continues to work as a consultant dietitian for the Metrowest YMCA.
