6 Year combined program in Exercise Science and Physical Therapy

The DPT program is a three year graduate program that culminates in a clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy. Students who are accepted into the six-year accelerated program as incoming First Year Undergraduate students will obtain two degrees from Simmons College; a B.S. in Exercise Science after the fourth year and a DPT in Physical Therapy after the sixth year. The Exercise Science program is housed within the Biology Department in the College of Arts and Sciences, while the DPT program is housed within the School for Nursing and Health Sciences. Accelerated DPT students complete all of their undergraduate education in the first three years, and begin their graduate studies in their senior undergraduate year.
