Middle Eastern Politics

4 sem. hrs. Examines the politics of the Middle East (Near East and North Africa). Emphasizes the search for legitimacy by the Arab regimes, the role of women in Arab societies, the resurgence of Islamic fundamentalism, Israeli society and politics, and important regional and international issues.
