Priority Nursing Deadline: November 1, 2024

Simmons is home to one of the country’s first university-based nursing programs and we are proud to remain among the best programs in the field, recognized for clinical excellence, and preparing future leaders in health care through undergraduate and graduate programs. By emphasizing scholarship, clinical expertise, and interdisciplinary teamwork, we make certain our students thrive in the fast-changing healthcare world of today — and tomorrow.

Steps away from the world-renowned hospitals and healthcare facilities of the Longwood Medical Area. Students have access to more than 850 clinical training sites, including world-class institutions like Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, VA Boston Healthcare System, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and more!

Join us at one of our information sessions to learn about our November 1 priority nursing deadline, speak to an admission counselor, hear from current nursing students, and take a campus tour with the chance to see the nursing simulation labs.

One of my favorite parts of being a Simmons nursing student is that clinical placements are close by, in a variety of leading Boston hospitals. I have enjoyed patient-care experiences at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Tufts Medical Center, and more.

HoloAnatomy Augmented Reality & HoloNeuroAnatomy

Simmons School of Nursing Program Leads the Way: Pioneering Integration of Augmented and Virtual Reality in Nursing Education! Simmons has become one of only two Nursing programs in the United States to be actively integrating Anatomy and Physiology augmented reality software (HoloAnatomy) into its curriculum. We've also adopted virtual reality nursing simulation into the clinical curriculum (UbiSim) in addition to high fidelity simulation.

Simulation Lab allows me to learn in a controlled environment. I’m able to learn from my mistakes and ask questions based on real-life scenarios that involve culture, language, and different health issues, giving me the confidence to go into my clinical rotations and future career as a nurse.

The Dotson Bridge and Mentoring Program is an amazing resource for minority nursing students at Simmons. As a first generation Latina, the mentorship and academic resources offered by the program and its mentors, such as test taking skills and leadership skills, has allowed me to excel in my nursing courses and clinicals throughout my undergraduate nursing career.
