The Simmons Library supports the academic needs of Simmons University students, faculty, staff, alumnae/i and guests by connecting Library users to the discovery and thoughtful use of informational resources.
Course Reserves
Books, media, journal articles, and other materials required for coursework can be placed in the Course Reserve Collection by instructors and found by students through the Course Reserves website.
Library Catalog
Search the Library Catalog for books, ebooks, and videos in the Library collection. Search by title, author name, subject, call number, or ISBN/ISSN. Use the Advanced Search feature to refine your search results.
Journals
Search for a journal by title, subject, or ISSN, or browse a list of popular subjects to see if the Library owns it.
Databases
Search the library's 130+ databases to discover articles, books, statistics, and more.
Password Protected Journals and Databases
Log in using your Simmons account to access password protected resources.
Borrow and Renew
Find information about our loan periods and renewal process.
Interlibrary Loan
Materials for teaching or research that the library does not own may be available from another library. Log in to the ILL system to place a request. Eligible ILL materials can also be renewed in the ILL system.
Materials at Other Libraries
If an item is not available at the Simmons University Library, there are several ways to find and borrow it from another library.
Request a Purchase
The library welcomes requests from the Simmons community for materials to be purchased for the collections. Requests are evaluated for their appropriateness to the library's collections.
