SLIS Student Receives Scholarship from the Society of American Archivists

Sage Loyema Innerarity ’25MS

Sage Loyema Innerarity ’25MS is the 2024 recipient of the Mosaic Scholarship, offered by the Society of American Archivists (SAA). The Mosaic Scholarship is focused on promising students in the Archives field who demonstrate a commitment to advancing diversity within the profession.

While in the program, Innerarity has worked at the Miwok Heritage Center in Ione, California, processing archival materials and conducting oral history interviews with elders of the Miwok Indians. These oral histories have informed her senior honors thesis, which reframes California history from the perspective of members of the Miwok tribe.
